Hi my name is Michelle Maio and I have 27 years of experience teaching Regents, Honors, and Honors Biology to ninth graders at Bethpage High School, I prepare students for the NYS Living Environment Regents Exam. I focus on differentiated instruction, using creative strategies to make biology relevant and engaging. I’ve also taught Medical Science, Environmental Science, and Physical Science electives for grades 9-12 and summer school biology through Nassau BOCES across several districts, adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.



Outside the classroom, I advise the Science National Honor Society and Red Cross Youth Club, coach, develop lab activities, write curriculum, and mentor colleagues. My goal is to foster hands-on, inquiry-based learning that inspires students to explore STEM fields.
