Career Counseling For Young Adults

Many students aren’t sure of where their career interests lie and what strengths and skills they have. They may not know what career choices are available to them. By taking a Career Interest Inventory as well as exploring their talents, skills, and passions an action plan can be developed. 

  • Students will learn how to self-market through resume and cover development, particularly with little job experience.
  • Social media pros and cons will be explored. 
  • Job search strategies including building a reference list, networking, internships, volunteer opportunities, job shadowing, and summer job opportunities. 
  • Soft skills development including time management, goal setting, communication, professional presence, and the role they play in interviewing.


Students will learn what they should be doing each step along the way. Early preparation is key to a great career path!
