Career Counseling For Young Adults
Many young adults aren’t sure of where their career interests lie and what strengths and skills they have. They may not know what career choices are available to them. Career Counseling is designed to help individuals navigate the often complex process of identifying, pursuing, and achieving their career goals. Career counseling empowers them to make informed decisions and maximize their professional potential.
Homework Hub offers a full range of career counseling services including:
- Taking a Career Interest Inventory as well as exploring talents, skills, and passions to determine an action plan.
- Learning how to self-market through resume, cover letter development and
LinkedIn profiles, even with little job experience.
- The importance of social media pros and cons.
- Learning job search strategies including building a reference list, networking, internships, volunteer opportunities, job shadowing, and summer job opportunities.
- Soft skills development including time management, goal setting, communication, professional presence, and the role they play in interviewing.
Our Career Counseling empowers young adults by providing guidance on what steps to take at each stage of their career journey. Not only will they learn valuable strategies for immediate job searches or career advancement, but they will also develop the skills needed to navigate future career changes on their own.
